Member profiles- bY Ze Touch
RCA 3D, presents its members! Through our portraits of passionate entrepreneurs, discover the rich ecosystem that constitutes our 3D scan association. Today, let’s meet Eric Latouche-Hallé, President of bY Ze Touch, a company based in the Grenoble region, specializing in the 3D scanning of buildings.
Connecting industry and technology, a strategic development axis
bY Ze Touch is a wonderful adventure that began in 2020. After more than 13 years as a Business Manager within the Schneider Electric group, Éric Latouche-Hallé chose the path of entrepreneurship with the strong desire to revolutionize usage.
“In my position at Schneider Electric, I worked on responding to major electrical renovation tenders abroad. I would have liked to be able to share virtual visits of our customers’ sites with our project teams so that everyone could understand the site and its constraints. This would also have allowed us to reduce the risks and hazards and to have a more competitive offer. Then, once the project was won, to model in 3D the future state of the project with, in particular, the new electrical equipment. In short, the beginnings of BIM!
This concept was strong and the idea stimulating! Eric then created b Ze Touch, starting by offering 3D scanning services for buildings while paying attention to how the data collected could be visualized (viewer, PC screen, virtual reality headset, soon AR/XR) and exploited (creation of digital models, 3D printing).
3D digitization of buildings in the blink of an eye!
bY Ze Touch is a service and engineering company that accompanies you in your 3D building scanning projects. Its promise? To capture the reality of a site using a laser scanner, 360° video, or drone, and then allow you to restore it to a whole ecosystem of actors. The company offers the development of tagged and annotated virtual tours of sites; the construction of 3D models of buildings, with or without the MEP technical packages; or the creation of BIM and the enrichment of IFC models.
bY Ze Touch operates mainly in Grenoble and the Rhône-Alpes region, but also expands its sector, depending on the project, to France and abroad. It is aimed at architects, operators of industrial and tertiary sites, and engineering offices for Fluids and Electricity. Eric is an expert in the field of electricity and automation, thanks to his 20 years of experience in maritime, railway, and airport infrastructures, industrial sites, and large service industries. He accompanies his clients from the specifications to the execution of the work, by valorizing the 3D data.
“We bring you consolidated, accurate, and reliable 3D surveys if needed 3D models, and virtual tours. Let’s say, the easiest way is to give us the opportunity to work together on a project, not strategic, with a modest budget so that you can judge by yourself the value brought, what is useful and what can be less, and to run together with our processes and deliverables. Then we’ll be ready to tackle your important challenges together.”
Éric Latouche-Hallé, Président de bY Ze Touch
RCA 3D, an ambitious 3D scanning association that democratizes the reality capture business
“We chose to join the RCA 3D association to exchange with our peers, to help each other, to democratize the use of these new technologies and know-how. We meet regularly in videoconference during a coffee moment. It’s a pure pleasure. We share a lot on various subjects, always related to the field of Reality Capture. In addition, the diverse geographical location of all our members allows us to be closer to our multi-site customers,” adds Eric.”In my opinion, BIM will really take off when 85% of the building industry has adopted it, and not just the large groups. It remains to structure and perhaps regulate the exchange protocols that allow ERP, Scadas or other hypervisors to mix IFC models, cold data (plans and technical synoptics) and hot data (from various sensors). I think that the RCA 3D association will contribute to the democratization and adoption of these subjects, by pulling everyone up.
